02 April 2009 - Miss Lloyd is in France

Miss Lloyd is working very hard in France this week!  She has gone to Bordeaux with a group of teachers from Bristol to set up an International link with a school.  I have had several emails from Miss Lloyd who is quite exhausted as she is having to speak in French all day long and is staying in a French family who speak no English!  This week she is attending an advanced French course to develop her own language skills.  Next week, when we are on holiday, she will be in our ‘link school’ meeting the staff and pupils.  This is an exciting project, and soon we will have school links within Bristol (Beech class), in Europe and in Uganda.  I also heard this week that Miss Lloyd has been successful in getting us a French assistant to work in school part time next year…lots to look forward to!
