Child Safety - Safer strangers, Safer Buildings
Child Safety - Safer strangers, Safer Buildings
You may have heard on BBC Breakfast News or Five Live that Child's Eye Media are launching a new children's safety campaign at the House of Commons this week. Entitled 'Safer Stranger, safer buildings' , the campaign includes positive new advice for children if they get lost or feel unsafe. The campaign is backed by 3 leading charities - the Children's Safety Education Foundation, Kidscape and Suzy Lamplugh Trust, as well as best-selling author of Toxic Childhood, Sue Palmer, and the Association of Chief Police Officers. To view Child's Eye Media's film, 'Teigan gets lost', which has been produced specially to explain the code to children as young as three, free of charge, go to www.childseyemedia.com/safety.html You can also download a copy of the 'Safer strangers, safer buildings' code from the website, along with advice for parents, carers and teachers. We are keeping a record of how many people log on to the website in order to track the progress of the campaign, and would be very grateful if you could spread the word to your school community and beyond.
