Partnership The database is managed by a partnership consisting of: Bath & North East Somerset Council Bristol City Council South Gloucestershire Council Information held on the database includes: National and local organisations which offer support, advice and guidance for children and young people, parents, carers and professionals on issues such as addictions, child protection, benefit advice, domestic abuse, mediation, grants and funding, legal advice, arts & leisure. Details of local community clubs, societies and groups for people of all ages and interests submitted by the organisations themselves. 1BigD is publicised through council websites, information leaflets, newsletters and at community events. |

![]() | Child Safety - Safer strangers, Safer Buildings You may have heard on BBC Breakfast News or Five Live that Child's Eye Media are launching a new children's safety campaign at the House of Commons this week. Entitled 'Safer Stranger, safer buildings' , the campaign includes positive new advice for children if they get lost or feel unsafe. The campaign is backed by 3 leading charities - the Children's Safety Education Foundation, Kidscape and Suzy Lamplugh Trust, as well as best-selling author of Toxic Childhood, Sue Palmer, and the Association of Chief Police Officers. To view Child's Eye Media's film, 'Teigan gets lost', which has been produced specially to explain the code to children as young as three, free of charge, go to www.childseyemedia.com/safety.html You can also download a copy of the 'Safer strangers, safer buildings' code from the website, along with advice for parents, carers and teachers.
