Classes - Elm
Elm class is our Nursery class. We are a 20 place nursery with a qualified teacher and a qualified Nurery Nurse to care for us and help us to learn.
The indoor space is bright and spacious and we love learning in here. We have a really exciting role play area and also good sand and water spaces. We have our own special toilet and wash space.
When we go outside we go to a courtyard that is completely protected on all sides. It is our special place where only Foundation Stage children can go. It has a climbing frame with a slide and bikes to ride as well as other exciting things that our teachers put out for us. On wet days we have waterproof coats and trousers and we use our own wellington boots so that we can go out and play. We love playing in the rain and our teachers make sure we are dry when we come in and that we don’t get cold!
Our Class Link Governor is Lesley Lock.
Every week on a Friday 9-10am in the Nursery parents/carers are invited to attend the PEEP Group. This is a very important group which will help you to learn about ways you can supoprt your child in education. Please click on the icon below to find out more details.
Singalong sessions take place in the Nursery classroom at 2.50pm on Mondays and all parents/careres are invited to come and join in.

Elm Term 6 Curriculum
|
Miss Risdale has been at the school for a number of years and knows all there is to know about creating a happy nursery class. She works with Miss Stacey, the full time Nursery Nurse, and together they build the children’s confidence and experiences preparing them for their Reception year.
Miss Risdale is also the Foundation Stage Manager and works closely with the Reception class teacher and the Lead Teacher in the Childrens Centre to ensure smooth transitions and a continuous curriculum.
